He finished his career in at Camp Aguinaldo, although, retirement was not an option. Purchasing several hundred acres of land, he began farming rice in Almaguer Nueve Visacaya, Philippines. In , he decided to move his family from the Philippines to the United States. Finally, he settled in Gulfport, Mississippi where he chose to continue working.

Carl E. Not only did Mr. Homan dedicate 26 years of his life serving his country around the world, but he was also a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
